ALBUM PRODUCED BY OTHENTIC NOMINATED AT 2009 JUNO AWARDS!
Posted 11/02/2009

In 2008, Swing and I knew, after a lot of work, that we had a great new album in our hands titled "Tradarnac". As we also did for their second album, we pushed the envelope to create a fresh sound that was never heard before. Of course, blending folk sounds with contemporary instruments and beats is not an easy task, but it seems like we pulled it off!
In 2008 and 2009, Swing got one (1) JUNO AWARD nomination in the "Francophone Album Of The Year" category. Two (2) CANADIAN FOLK MUSIC AWARDS nominations. Seven, YES! seven (7) TRILLE OR Awards in Ontario.
I think we can say that the wheel is spinning for us this year!

OTHENTIC PRODUCES "LE TEMPS D'UNE DINDE REMIX"
Posted 02/12/2008

Yep, it's not a joke! Michel Barrette (Hi Ha Tremblay) and Swing wanted to bring back to life the old hit "Le temps d'une dinde". Swing knew that I was up for the challenge after working with me for their last two albums, mixing traditional and urban music together.
After a couple of days, we came up with a nice party song that will definitely make you dance this holiday season. So, listen to Quebec's radio station or go buy the album "Hi Ha Tremblays: 25 ans minimum" to hear the remixed version!!

NOMINATION FOR PRODUCER OF THE YEAR AT CFMA 2008

I'm thrilled to announced I've been nominated for Producer of the year at this year's Canadian Folk Music Award for my participation on Swing's latest album Tradarnac. The album is getting more and more attention these days for its unique approach. You have to admit, you don't see urban and traditional music mixed together very often!
It's not the first time I've been noticed for my work with them. I've also been nominated for Producer of the year at Ontario's Trille Or Awards in 2004.
